Hatice SAFA

Hatice Safa was born in Nicosia, Cyprus on 21st January, 1963. She completed her primary and secondary education in Melbourne, Australia and her Bachalor of Arts Degree in the Department of Interpreting and Translating at Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey. She acquired a Masters of Arts Degree in the Department of English Language and Literature at Near East University where she started working as an English Language teacher in the Preparatory School in January 1991. She has worked in both the English foundation programmes and also taught in the Faculties of various other universities gaining valuable experience in teaching and co-ordinating. After returning to the Near East University in 2006 she taught and co-ordinated the medical students in the English Preparatory School. Since 2014-15 academic year, she has been part of the staff of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management. She has attended many conferences and participated in numerous workshops in the field of ESL and ESP. She is married with two children.
