Near East University, which connects Northern Cyprus to the world with international education networks, primarily the International Association of Universities (IAU) and the European Universities Association (EUA), has become a member of another important education network with one of its faculties. Near East University Faculty of Tourism has become a full member of EURHODIP, which brings together 39 countries from four continents and over 150 institutions providing tourism and hotel management education under its roof.

Near East University Faculty of Tourism, which was accepted as a full member by a unanimous decision at the EURHODIP General Assembly held in Tunis on November 6-10, will continue to develop the opportunities it offers to its students with its new collaborations at the international level. Founded in 1988 as an international education network focusing on hotel management, tourism, gastronomy and business education, EURHODIP aims to bring together higher education institutions operating in these fields in Europe and around the world, raising quality standards, encouraging innovation in education and establishing strong ties between the sector and academia. Offering accreditation, development of education programs and student exchange opportunities to its members, EURHODIP also provides an important platform for interaction between sector professionals, academics and students through international conferences and competitions held each year. Students graduating from educational institutions accredited to EURHODIP also receive an important education certificate recognized on a global scale.

Prof. Dr. Nesrin M. Bahçelerli: “Our EURHODIP membership is not only an achievement, but also a solid step towards the future!”
Dean of the Near East University Tourism Faculty, Prof. Dr. Nesrin M. Bahçelerli said, “This important step is an indication of our faculty’s reputation and quality in the international arena. Joining the EURHODIP family will not only provide our students with a globally valid education certificate, but will also increase the development opportunities we offer our students.”

Emphasizing that thanks to EURHODIP membership, students will have the opportunity to experience various cultures and education methods, Prof. Dr. Bahçelerli said, “This success reinforces the power of our faculty as an institution that maintains high standards in education. It also opens the doors to a wider global network for our academic staff and students.”
