Currently lecturing Financial Accounting, Principles of Financial Management in both Turkish and English at the Near East University, Tourism and Hotel Management Department for the past 15 months. Fellow Member of Chartered Accountancy Body in U.K. Having been a member since 2002.

Izbel Ulgen was born in London to a banker father who was working for International Bank and a teacher mother. After moving to Cyprus, she completed primary education at Nicosia and then the secondary education at Turk Maarif College. After gaining 9 O Levels Izbel went to boarding school to take her A levels in 1983. After gaining 4 A levels she went to study Management Sciences at London School of Economics in London. She graduated with honors degree in 1988.

Izbel continued her further education in London by studying for Chartered Accountancy Exams and graduating in 1992. After working in the Accountancy and Banking sector she came back to Cyprus in 2002. She has been accepted as a fellow member for Accountancy Board in 2002 after completing the minimum requirements.

Izbel started lecturing Business English and Cost and Management Accounting at the Near East University, Bussiness Administration Department in 2003 . After getting married and having a son she continued working at the family business.
