Assist. Prof. Dr. Yiğit Sebahattin Bozkurt
He was born on February 3, 1988, in Izmir. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Izmir. He completed his undergraduate education in 2011 at the Recreation Department of Eastern Mediterranean University. He completed his master's degree in 2017 at the Tourism Management Department of Yaşar University. He completed his PhD in 2023 at the Department of Tourism Management at Adnan Menderes University in Aydın. During his PhD, he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Tourism Management at the Faculty of Tourism at Cyprus Aydın (Ilim) University. After completing his PhD, he received the title of Assistant Professor at the same university and served as the Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Faculty of Tourism and the Director of the Vocational School of Applied Sciences. In September 2025, he began working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Near East University School of Tourism and Hospitality. He has numerous publications in the fields of alternative tourism, overtourism, and tourism marketing, both nationally and internationally. He has also served as an “Observer” on accreditation teams on behalf of the Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council (TURAK).
